Saturn Return Journal: Jordanna Levin

This beautiful, witty, hilarious wordsmith is currently writing her third (!) book, she has three podcasts under her belt and a wonderful program called Self Actually. We are Gemini Sun and Virgo Moon sisters and I adore her. I look forward to the day when I share a meal and cocktails with this legend.

Where is Saturn in your natal chat?

Saturn in Scorpio in the 5th house.

What were some of the themes of your Saturn Return?

My Saturn return did not go easy on me. The themes were about redefining identity, relationship turmoil, boundaries and assertion at work, and discovering my own power.

Any stories that you would like to share that illuminate these themes?

I was working for a narcissistic bully who forced me to learn (very quickly) about self preservation, boundaries and the effect that toxicity at work (and in relationships) has on your mental, physical and emotional health. I walked away from, what outsiders considered, a 'dream job' (even though I was scared af) because I knew that I couldn't mentally tolerate the abuse any longer. Looking back as a 37 year old that seems like a given, but at 29 it was HUGE! It took all of my inner reserves and it pretty much shaped who I was moving forward.

Having the beauty of hindsight, what was this initiatory period teaching you?

he importance of internal validation and clear boundaries no matter whether you're the person in the authoritative position or not. It taught me the power of believing in my own intuition (when nobody else did) and the early warning signs of extreme burnout (which has been a reoccurring theme my whole life).
